Does anyone know can remeron be combined with other antidepressants.

Yes they can. Lots of people on here are on anti depressants along with Remeron/Mitazapine. I'm on Sertraline and swapping over to Duloxetine. I have been on 100mg of Sertraline and 15mg of Mirtazapine. I know the docs do have to be a little cautious because of Sertraline syndrome. It may be worth discussing with your doc. Mirtazapine is supposed to be good for depression, but I have found at the dose I'm on it does absolutely nothing for my anxiety. I think I'm on it for sleep, so I don't have to use Valium. Speak to your doc. I'm not sure what dose you are on of Mirtazapine, but if it is high, it might be too much to introduce another AD. Talk soon. Xx

I am on 30 the dr is going to talk to another dr about my case I guess and get some advice.

I'm on this and escitalopram. Supposedly mirtazapine is a great drug to work alongside other families of anti depressants.

Mirt gets mixed with the SNRI, Venlafaxine to create "California Rocket Fuel". There are threads on here about that.

Meds that cause additive effects can be used, and are, it's just that doctors have to be more careful in monitoring for adverse effects and may perform certain physical tests before & during to ensure there are no underlying conditions that additive effects can aggravate.
