Had chest pain since 2pm in my left side, sharp stabbing pains under my arm and round the front. I am pretty sure it's anxiety but it just won't go off. I wondered if anyone else gets this?

I've been having stabbing pains in my left ribs now for the past 2 months i wasn't concerned but with all the anxiety I was having for other reasons I went to see my gp and he said it could be caused by a pulled muscle or cartilage which covers the ribs he said it could also be caused by a pinched nerve in the back area which is radiating to the front.
