Anyone else suffer from fear of heat?
I don't think I have a general fear of heat. Because I'm fine being in warm weather, and I'm even fine being in a warm house that's caused by warm weather.
What I am afraid of is artificial heat. Most of my panic attacks manifested themselves in me overheating. Except I didn't know at the time they were panic attacks. And now when I get a rapid heart rate and shaking muscles, I know it'll pass. But when I overheat and start feeling faint, I'm still afraid I'll pass out from it or even die from it.
I don't know how to get over it. It seems to be my last remaining fear. I recently switched the heating on in my house because it was really cold, and had to switch it off after an hour. And it wasn't even warm! But I felt so stifled, that I couldn't deal with it.
Would be great to hear if anyone else has or had this, and how you deal with it.
