Twitching finger

[Stressless]

I hope you can help me stressless as I've been panicking about it!

For about the past week, possibly longer, I've been having strange muscle spasms/twitches in my left index finger. My finger briefly contracts for a couple of seconds and then the finger returns to normal. I seem to get a couple of spasms before it stops and returns to normal. After a few episodes, my finger aches and feels right. I have no other medical complaints and all my other fingers and other parts of my body have anything like this!

Obviously I shouldn't be googling, but I have and it's come up with things like MS and ALS and Parkinson's, which I'm sure I don't have but the longer it continues the more panicked and worried I am getting!!

It seemed to come out of nowhere and doesn't appear to be stopping!!

Any ideas/help?

Hi,

I have experienced twitching in several body parts. The worst one was my lip, it lasted about 7 months then just stopped. It went away for a good couple of years and started again a few months ago but only lasted a few weeks. Now it just twinges every now and again.

I believe it's a very very common symptom of anxiety, I never felt particularly anxious when it happened but I guess it was an after effect of it or I was more anxious than I thought!
