Unhappy Is this normal for palpitations?

    Hi everyone!

I hope you're as well as can be

I've had palpitations before - usually just random, one-off skipped heartbeats.

But lately, I've been having these strange episodes where I have 4-5 palpitations in a row. Then I go back to normal.

I've been taking Propanalol (beta blocker) for a couple of years to help with the physical side of anxiety.

Can anyone else relate to these kinds of palpitations that come quickly, one after the other?

It's really scary when it happens, and it literally makes me sit up and have to calm myself down.

Any words of wisdom much appreciated. Thank you! <3

Heart arrhythmia needs to be consistent and prolonged to be a danger. What you describe may be distressing but is not considered to be a danger.

As always, consult your doctor concerning untoward symptoms.
