I've been having some anxiety about my heart as I've felt some strange sensations - and am wondering if anyone has experienced the same.
As background info, I'm 23 years old. I don't have any family history of heart-related problems. I'm not over-weight and exercise 3-4 times a week. I also don't smoke. I received a general health check about a year ago, where they took my blood pressure, blood sugar, and did and EKG - all were normal.
Recently I've had a strange sensation in the bottom, rightmost side of my left pectoral muscle - right around where the heart is. There is no pain - I just get an occasional sensation of pressure in that area. It doesn't hurt, the pressure seems internal expanding outward, and only lasts for a few seconds. That is the extent of my symptoms.
I still exercise and feel perfectly normal. I haven't noticed any differences in my heart-rate, or any shortness of breath, weakness, etc. Just this pressure from the inside which comes and goes.
I'm worried it could be heart-related, or something like fluid around my heart, or something of that nature. Has anyone experienced this before? As far as I know, I'm perfectly healthy but am quite worried about this. Any answers are appreciated.
