    Tonsillectomy recovery

    Hi guys,

I had a tonsillectomy ~4.5 weeks ago. I had a few complications where I bled so I had to go back to hospital and all within the first week however, I'm a lot better now.

I was just wondering since I've read online that it should've taken 2-3 weeks to completely heal. My side where I had some scarring (due to an abscess) hasn't fully healed. It seems like there's still a bit of discomfort (I wouldn't really say it's painful) upon swallowing. It also seems like there's a small pea sized lump (reddish). I'm honestly not sure whether I should be worried or not :(

I'm wondering whether anyone has any experience in this?

    Re: Tonsillectomy recovery

So I went to the dentist and he suspected that it was left over tonsil.

I looked today and the shape is around hte same but the area is inflamed (like before) but there's a bit that is white (in the midle).
Freaking out that in my 20s I could have something sinister like throat/tonsil cancer.

I know people probably won't reply this but I'll probably keep updating this post.
