Hi there! x so i'm sorry if i posted this in the wrong category but anytime i get a new medication it takes me years to start taking them thanks to the fear of the side effects. most recently i got put on birth control for my painful periods and haven't taken one yet. i'm terrified that i'll have bad side effects or reaction and i'm just so stressed right now

im the same. it took me 10mg diazepam before I dared take my first anxiety drug (I realise the irony)

Side effects are mainly warnings because people occasionally have a reaction.
If you are having painful periods, then isnt it worth just trying the medication?
The worst that can happen is you have less pain, and feel a bit sick, or dizzy,
The upside is you have no pain, and no side effects.
Got to be worth trying one.

Im totally with you on this one I wanted to go on the pill utility I'm scared I will get a blood clot and die it's such an awful thing to deal with and I totally understand your irony Imy terrified of dying butility I smoke because it helps me to calm down but then I fear I'm going to get cancer fromantic it and die oh how nice it would be to be normal
