    Moles

Hi. Just a quick question in regards to moles (melanocytic naevi).

I am aware Melanoma is a concern in regards to melanocytic naevi but was wondering if there are any other types of cancer that are of concern? So when I check my melanocytic naevi do I need to consider other cancers?

    Thank you

    Re: Moles

With regards to your mole? No. Also if your mole has been stable and isn't serverly atypical then the chance of you developing Melanoma are very low. Having a mole or even atypical isn't a concern for Melanoma. Almost all of my mole have atypical features but have been stable for years. There's one of my head that looks like a Melanoma in Situ but it's stable and in Situ isn't really a threat as it can't spread. It's been stable so I don't worry about it.

Just check for change, if they don't change don't worry about them.
