tonsillitis causing huge amounts of panic

Hey guys. I'm currently on day 9 of having tonsillitis. The sore throat is mostly gone and I'm left with what feels like an egg in my throat. It's been slowly getting better on and off over the past 3 days or so but it's been causing me huge amounts of panic. My doctor says this is completely normal and I'm on my way to recovery and he thinks my larynx has been affected as well. All my friends who get chronic tonsillitis have told me this feeling can last anything up to a month as I heal. But I just want it gone now.

I think you will probably just have to be patient (!) & take any medicines given by your doctor. As you say it is slowly getting better
Is there anything you can gargle with? Ask the pharmacists advice.
