    dosulepin

    hi, was hoping someone could help,, my gp put me on dosulepin last friday,, first two days i felt i wasnt with it, thats now gone but today my panic attacks have been worse than be4 , could it be me getting used to the tablets and if so does anyone know how long it will be , before i start 2 feel better , and the side effects start to calm down.

    Hi Sandy, I take dosulepin too (Prothiaden). There are a couple of threads about it already so have a search. I take it mainly for depression but also for anxiety and panic attacks. You will need to give it at least 2-4 weeks for it to start working for depression. Maybe a bit sooner for panic attacks. Side effects are dry mounth, thirsty all of the time and tiredness. You get used to them after a while.
    hope this helps and hope you feel better soon, most anti-depressants make you a little bit worse for the first couple of weeks of taking them.

    All meds will make you feel 100 times worst at first.

    You have to decide to stick with it or give up and not bother.

    I tried 2 different ones and never helped so gave up and the side-effects were worse than panic!
