    Won't believe.

    Why can't i just believe Dr's etc? I have had a left sided back ache for about 6 weeks and i keep prodding and twisting my torso and convincing myself it's my lung because it hurts sometimes at the end of my breath. I saw an osteopath yesterday who said she could feel all my left side wasn't right and my rib was locked. I kept saying to her so it isn't my lung and she said no i can feel it's skeletal. I believed it coming home but this morning it's worse and i am worrying it's my lung again. Why do i always think the worst, it's awful.

    Have you sought help for your anxiety?

    I am on fluoxetine and have been for 2-3 years.

    You don't think its the worst.

    Your subconsious thoughts do, and you are believing them.

    Oh s**t... I have ball cancer.....

    Then I realise that thought originated from my scared tired brain. I calm myself down, and move on with life.

    Any therapy? If you have done, it may be worth giving it another go.

    I tried CBT but didn't find it helpful.

    It's hurting in my upper left front chest when I breath now too. Do you think it's with the osteopathic treatment yesterday because all dr Google is telling me is lung or heart.

    Well, how about talking about other options with your GP? There are many types of therapy. Perhaps even a more intense course of CBT.

    In any case, you will have to begin tackling the thought processes that prevent you from being able to accept what the doctors say. After all, if you can't believe the doctors, who will you believe?
