Never had that happen and I use it daily.

Your palpitations were probably caused by your anxiety. Ibuprofen is a slightly unpredictable medication so I guess you couldn't rule it out, but I would say that if you see a horse, don't assume it's a zebra. Palpitations are an anxiety symptom. I had some earlier today.

Palps can certainly be part of anxiety but they can also happen if anything eaten or drunk irritates your digestive system, and anything that affects this can sometimes result in palpitations, whether that's a fast heartbeat or 'missed' beats and flutters etc. There is a positive proven link. Perhaps ibuprofen doesn't agree with you Devyn. I have a friend who can't tolerate Paracetamol because it gives her really bad constipation!

Hi, I don't take ibuprofen because that happened to me a couple of times a few years ago now so won't touch it anymore. I wasn't suffering anxiety at the time so I know it wasn't that. It then made me have a panic attack, that being the first panic attack I had ever had. I only take paracetamol and codeine now.

thanks for all the replies everyone. it wasn't anxiety induced as i took an ibuprofen for a headache, had no anxiety at all and was half asleep before the palps started waking me up. i had probably 10 within a few minutes. It was a scary moment since i'm trying to get over my health anxiety.
