    All the best X
    Where do I start?
I can be in the mist of a terrifying panic, pacing and shaking and then the next day see how irrational it was?
Why can't I do it in the moment?
What should I do to start the changed thought process?? Xx

Read about intrusive thoughts. Read about other peoples experiences.

    I wrote about mine here:
    http://www.startinglifeagain.com/201...tive-thoughts/

These thoughts about aliens. Stupid right?

Of course they are. Everyone... and I mean EVERYONE... has stupid thoughts. Every single day.

Its how you react to them that matters. And as you can see, you have reacted to yours with panic and stress.

I laugh at my irrational thoughts. When you remove their power, they go away.

If you panic about your thoughts, your brain considers them a threat. So it has more, and focuses on them.

Everything is cyclical. At some point you have to break the loop.

Thank you for the advice, I will give the page a look. This isn't my first case of intrusive thoughts.
I've had them before and I got over it. It's just this time they are of a different subject so it's knocked me for six.
