Weaning off citalopram after 2-3 weeks of taking it.

Hello. I could not deal with the nightmares, insomnia, and increased anxiety from starting out on this drug. I also got some weird chest burning. I am deciding to wean off.

Started taking 10mg on 7th of Dec
Went up to 20mg for 7 days
Went down to 10mg for 2 days
Went down to 5mg for 2 days
Went down to 2.5mg for 2 days

No severe symptoms yet. In fact I feel MUCH better.

    Should I just stop?

    Edit:

I should also say that I was having hormonal issues which caused my anxiety. Therefore I do not need this drug.

    Thanks for any replies
