I saw Diana Rigg this week in the reboot of All Creatures Great and Small. She plays Mrs Pumphrey - guardian of one 'Tricky Woo'.

    Re: Gone but not forgotten!

EVH... Unreal! I'm not that much younger than him and abused myself in my youth, like he did, for which I'm paying for :(

One of the best concerts I ever saw was when Van Halen was just starting out. It was at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA in 1978. The headline act was Montrose. The guitarist, 'Ronnie Montrose' was the guitarist for the Edgar Winter group and part of some iconic rock instrumentals in the 70's. The opening act was 'Van Halen'. I recall them starting with Eddie doing "Eruption". Just him and his guitar. I was awed by the sound he was producing! Then, he broke out into the guitar riff for "Runnin' With the Devil". When the band came in, David Lee Roth came flying out from behind the drums and landed with a split on the stage with that signature scream.... It was a "holy shit" moment. The 2nd act was Journey, shortly after Steve Perry joined the band. truly an epic lineup of talent!

I had the privilege of helping produce CDs for Lorenza Ponce, the violinist for Eddie Van Halen the last 10 years or so. We discussed music and what it was like to tour with EVH. He was truly an iconic player. He will be missed.... RIP
