    Aretha Franklin at 76. RIP

What a talented singer she was. One of the big talents of the industry.

There were reports she was surrounded by loved ones the last few days awaiting this.

Damn, even in his eighties he looked good!

Burt Reynolds one of two men in the 80s to look cool with a mustache ( Tom selleck being the other ) a fond memories of my childhood watching Smokey and the bandit at the cinema and walking home wanting to buy an American muscle car to run cops into ditches but not kill them they don't make em like that anymore .

Tom Selleck also being able to pull off a pair of little tight pink shorts on an older man (not pull them off literally! ). When he goes I hear they are pulling down the flag at the Whitehouse and hanging some tiny pink shorts at half mast

God job you didn't grow up watching Burt in Boogie Nights then, Buster...

Hey I grew up in an era where the village people were considered role models, I have never been tempted to grow upper lip forestry, the 70s 80s did me no harm at all , oh apart from the mental health thing but I don't think that's related.
