Probably a much better idea to not mention you've not heard of person on this somewhat sensitive thread lencoboy. Some of the dedications will be personal to some. It's too delicate a thread to be anything but sympathetic. I'm sure you can understand that without feeling offended.
Carnation, thank you for putting that so well. I shouldn't have typed so hastily, maybe, but when people are talking about those they cared about Lenco's response seemed a little callous. Besides, we all have the web at our fingertips today, so if people are mourning someone you don't know it's a great excuse to learn about them.

That's why I posted BI
I think you're probably right that it's best if I don't say anything at all in this sensitive thread in memoriam of departed celebs, unless it's expressing my condolences, of course.
As the old expression goes, 'If in doubt, leave it out', plus I'm still continuing to learn about social etiquette and other people's feelings.
Thank you lencoboy for understanding.
Lenco, I bet you do know her. She was in Village Of The Damned, Look Who's Talking and Star Trek The Search For Spock (She was the Vulcan on the ship who helped the young Spock they found).
RIP Kirstie Alley

I was really sad to hear about Kirstie. I watched her in Cheers (preferred her character to Diane Chambers) and then in the Look Who's Talking movies.
Kirstie had the most AMAZING eyes, didn't she? Decent actress too! (Golden Globe winner for best actress in Cheers)
As well as Kirstie's family, I can't help but feel sorry for John Travolta who has lost another much-loved friend, and so soon after Olivia Newton John.
A thought is harmless unless we believe it.
