    Heart Rate Increase When Standing

    My heart rate seems to raise from a sitting to standing position. I checked my rate sitting at 81 bpm...stood up and it shot to 106 for a couple of seconds and then started coming down. Is this normal or no?

    Yes it's normal. Any change in activity affects heart rate and blood pressure. Nothing to worry about.
