    Chest X-ray

    Hi all

So I went back to the GP today (a different one) and he agreed that I need further investigation due to my upper back pain and my coughing no more so in my sleep more than anything.

He has ordered a chest X-ray and I am due to have this on March 20th. He said my lungs are clear but my cough needs further investigation. I am very nervous at the prospect of the results but I guess I NEED to have this done.

Anyone else going through this you are welcome to message.
P.S. Not everything is contributed to anxiety (as the GP has advised)
    Thanks

Did they run a lab test on the stuff you're coughing up? Mine turned out to be caused by fungus / yeast . Apprently that's not very common but cleared right up after getting the proper medication.

My chest xray was clear . Hope you get some answers.

    Re: Chest X-ray

Hi Kay, I had this around christmas. The doc sent me for chest x ray which was lead. I was given antibiotics and an inhaler. I now have seasonal asthma which caused the breathlessness and the antibiotics helped the cough/chest pain. Doc thinks was an infection. Might be worth mentioning. It's good your tests so far have not been worrying

Thank you so much for your message - I am petrified of what it might be being an ex smoker for 18 years and a persistent cough. The X-ray as mentioned is on Monday, I am worried at the prospect of it being lung cancer

    Re: Chest X-ray

Ive had to take a few puffs of the inhaler the GP prescribed for me last week, it seems to help me but I am still feeling quite breathless even when I am sitting down & it feels like my heart is beating fast (but it is not), its approx 74bpm which is normal for me.

What the heck is going on with me! I am truly freaking out!
