How has Anxiety affected your periods?

How has anxiety affected your period? I remember in the days before anxiety, my periods came and went like a breeze. When my anxiety started getting really bad, I began to dread my period. I now get very heavy bleeding, dizziness, and two weeks of PMS that come with awful mood swings, and feeling faint. I was wondering if anxiety itself can cause these new symptoms. I am slightly anemic but I have that taken care of with iron tablets. Yet, I was wondering why my anxiety so drastically changed my period and the way it felt.....

Re: How has Anxiety affected your periods?

I can't really tell how much anxiety affected mine as I have Endometriosis and it was pretty bad beforehand but I definitely affected my PMS and dizzy spells.
I think the anxiety can make it worse because it puts you under a lot of stress and affects your hormones x

    All the best
