    Motivation

    Hi people,

Help! I had a relapse in my depression about a month ago and 2 weeks ago we increased my meds to hell, meanwhile I also caught a nasty bout of tonsillitis so I have been on antibiotics as well as my anti depressant. Well I'm gonna be straight I feel awful. I have no motivation what so ever, I'm shakey, so tired, weak and lost I just don't know what to do. I thought after 2 weeks of my increase I would be feeling better by now but if anything I feel worse! How do I fight these feelings? Help!

I know the feeling too well myself! I've recently upped my anti depressants and 2 weeks in I feel terrible. Shaky head ache no energy. Want to sleep but then can't sleep. It's very hard and think it can make you feel more depressed whilst you feel like this! Maybe try a nice bath. I always find that helps me relax or just to have your favourite treat. Watch a nice movie you love. Or binge on a series! Hope you feel better soon

Its so difficult ain't it. I've started to wonder if I'm just lazy but I don't think a lazy person would feel physically ill from just getting out of bed. It's harder as I am trying to remain active, getting out and about and socialising all whilst I feel like running and hiding. This episode is a tough one!

Hi BenJammin Who increased your meds and it sounds like it was by a lot too/ The fact is you probably feel worse because of the tonsillitis you now have plus the meds to treat it, so think these all have contributing factors and this why you feel. I have had 2 nasty colds don't normally get them but the first one was a stinker I felt totally exhausted and more un motivated than normal!! Cheers

It really is! I honestly know how you feel. Like yourself. I'm trying to keep active and going out but my body just aches. Thinking of getting some lucozade today for the lack of energy. How long have you been feeling like this? It's both physically and mentally exhausting!

    - it was doctors that increased my meds increased the mirtazapine from 30mg to 45mg and my psychiatrist put me on quetiapine XR 50mg twice daily. To be fair it's only been since I got the tonsilitus that my energy has felt sapped out of me. They got me on a pretty h fry amount of antibiotics as well.

    - yeah it is psychically and mentally exhausting I can't even eat at the moment, I was nearly falling asleep driving yesterday and the shaking oh its evil. I have tried a berocca today to try and muster up the energy for Mother's Day got a meal to go to which I already am regretting :-(

    Xx

Bless you lovely :( maybe you shouldn't drive whilst you're feeling like this. I just struggled getting on a train yesterday I felt like I was drunk and I didn't know where I was putting my next step was so scary. As it helped at all boost your energy? I'm just off out for Mother's Day too and just wish I was in my pjs and a cup of tea! Xx
