    esa question

    hi my son & his girlfriend live together , he claims joint esa they both suffer from cystic fibrosis & in the support group. they have been having problems & considering a separation but my son was told that if they do split up & go back to claiming esa individually that they will both go back to the assessment phase where they will only get a very small rate of esa does anyone know if that is correct please ? thank you x

    I imagine it would be correct yes. However as far as I'm aware that only applies for 13 weeks then as long as he is placed back in the support group it will go up again. The assessment rate is currently £73.10.
