Citalopram

[Two heads]

Does anybody known how long citalopram stays in our systems once we have stopped taking it?
Im down to 1.25mg{im crumbling it up}
Just i think now i may as well be brave and stop taking it all together.I have been taking it for just overa year and have been reduceing slowly since nov!
I feel alittle scared about what i may feel once i have totally stop.xxx

Citalopram, im on 40mg a day which has helped me through, ive been on it for just over a year and couldnt be without it.

withdraw im glad you came off it slowly but i dont know what dose you are n.

Im going to start reducing soon and has big anxeity about it. i beleive if something is working leave well alone...

Well done to you, no one can say you havnt tried and tried very heard
try and keep it up, if it will not work you can try again or stay on the dose your on.

Im not sure how long its stays in your system, but it looks like you have done the right thing reducing slowly. In the past i have come off them too quickly and the anxiety as returned with-in 6 months.

Im taking a leaf out of your book this time!

Thanks for your kind replys chaps!
I spoke to someone today and they dont think the citalopram will be doing anything for me at such a low dose.I have been advised to stop!
