    Is this normal?

I took .5mg dose of xanax yesterday at 5:30pm, only my 4th time ever taking xanax and it's been almost 24 hours and I still feel really really groggy- I thought this would be out of my system by now........anyone else have this experience?

Xanax has a really short half life and is generally out of your system after 4-8 hours. It does leave you feeling groggy for a while after. I take it for panic attacks and usually have some caffeine to snap myself out of the brain fog. You'll be okay!!!

Ok I was just making sure that was normal- I have not taken xanax or anything like it until recently so I was surprised by how sleepy I still feel- even now
