Cold turkey on 40mg dose

I've been on 40mg fluoxetine for around 2 years now. Around 4 weeks ago I stopped cold turkey due to extreme tiredness and really, and I mean really low sex drive.

The first 2 weeks I was fine, felt really good. The last 2 weeks not so much. I went through a period last week where I had a massive panic attack which seemed to start a constant heightened state where I felt like I had tunnel vision the whole time. This passed but felt must analysing every situation again. Today the whole constant tunnel vision started again along with what I can only describe as not being there.

Fluoxetine has a very long half-life so withdrawal symptoms usually take a week, or two to begin. Quitting any psych drug cold-turkey is very unwise.

You don't say what you were originally taking Fluoxetine for. But as above poster says, this AD has a long half-life, meaning it takes up to a month to leave your system, so what you are experiencing could still be withdrawal effects rather than your original symptoms returning, ie, a relapse.

Have you spoken to your GP/doctor about this? I would suggest you do if this continues. Perhaps give yourself another week or so then seek advice if you feel the same as you do now.
