    Long story.

I've have had nearly every cancer possible in a male body, but only in my head!
I've suffered from migraines and ibs for years.
    Recent tests have been....

    Full blood work... Normal.
    Abdominal ultrasound.....Normal.
    Ct with dye Abdominal....Normal.
    Endoscopy...Normal but shows reflux.
Two visits to A&E ( chest and arm pain )
They done ECG and blood work...Normal.

I continue to have left arm pain and in my sternum.
I've just come back from teaching my little girl to ride a bike. I was lightly jogging next to her.
I came back sweating with arm and chest discomfort.
The GP says no more tests.
I think that my heart will stop at any time.

I lost my Dad a few months back to a sudden cardiac arrest, he was a fit non smoking 66 year old.

    I turn 40 in a few months, I don't drink or smoke.
I have high health anxiety and my diet is not the best.
Thanks for listening, and any replies would be good because my wife is rightly sick of hearing about my issues.

Does anyone think my Chest and arm pain is due to health anxiety?
Or should I push for more tests?

I think these symptoms are a manifest of your anxiety and definitely heightened because of your tragic circumstances losing your dad the way you did. Trust the tests. They are 100% more accurate than anybody here x

    Hi KFH_19,

Your story is so similar to mine, it's almost unreal.

All I can say is that you have to try and trust the tests as they have been extensive and thorough and, well, to be honest, there's not much else that further tests are going to show.

It's a mind-bogglingly difficult thing to do and something that I can sit here and say to other people far easier than I can believe it myself, but thats the only way to end the torture that is Health Anxiety.

it seems a lot of people on this board have had episodes of Health Anxiety triggered by a bereavement and it's completely understandable.

Take it eays for a week or so and see how it develops. If your doctor says no more tests, then ask him/her what else they can suggest as it's their job to help the patients in the best way possible.
