something to try to ease GA

People have been suggesting that I focus on somthing else if I feel an anxiety attack starting. I wasn't sure what they meant as I have difficulty concentrating on anything when it starts. However I tried word search puzzles and yes it's simple enough and a bit nerdy but I today have had the first normal day for weeks just by circling a few words in a book when I had a few spare moments. Try it you never know it may help

I'm glad that helped you and thanks for the tip. I suppose the ideas is it gives your brain something else to concentrate on rather than the anxiety symptoms and how they're making you feel.

I found my anxiety was reduced just by reading Claire Weekes's Self Help for your Nerves. It might be a bit old fashioned for some but it described my anxiety symptoms perfectly and was the first time I'd realised my blurred eyesight was just an anxiety symptom and nothing to worry about.

I do colouring. I'm no artist but use colouring books on my tablet. I find that helps to keep my anxiety at a manageable level.

I also use word games and sudoku to divert myself.

I find concentration difficult so variety works for me
