Annoyed: can't (but want to) trust the GP

I had a yellow/white patch near my tonsil area on my throats and sore throat on one side for a few months now. I suffer from reflux too and on daily medication for it. I have been to two different drs about it, twice for each one. They said "it looks like normal glandular tissue" and another said something similar and maybe some irritation. Negative bacteria swabs too

The fact my mind still wants to focus on "it might be cancer" is driving me nuts.
Maybe it's because I still have some intermittent pain and focus on swallowing and sometimes it's a sharp pain.

The sensible me is saying "its muscle tension and too much focus, some reflux irritation and post nasal drip". Plus I've seen two drs and they said they're not worried about cancer.

Any other tips for trying to stop this horrible cycle of thought?

    Therapy and meds.

    Positive thoughts

This constant reassurance checking is the root of my problem. I sometimes that this forum can be bad for people with this type of anxiety. I see me going to the dr and then checking on here, it's silly.

Thanks for trying to help anyway.

If this is the root of your problem. Delete your account and sign off and don't check the forums.

You have had numerous doctors tell you it's fine. I'm not sure what other kind of replies you want except therapy and meds.

I think you're right. I'm going to delete my account. This constant reassurance checking is ludicrous.
