Can I miss a dose for a wedding?

    Hi guys
I have been diagnosed with mild depression and anxiety and prescribed 50mg at night to help sleep and take the edge off. They work instantly for me and took the first one last night, slept well and felt very calm today.

In a couple of weeks I have a wedding and I know I will want to have a good few wines. As you can't mix alcohol and trazodone will it be ok to miss a dose for one night so I can have s good few drinks and not die basically!

    Thanks
    Emma

Drinking while on trazodone won't kill you, Emma, though the resulting hangover might, or having you wishing it had!
But each will magnify the effects of the other, especially at the higher doses when trazodone begins acting as an antidepressant, so drinking heavily is not a good move.

There should be no issues with not taking trazodone for one night as it's only acting as a sleeping pill at that dose and you won't have been on it long enough to cause any dependence issues. They are uncommon anyway. However, alcohol can worsen anxiety and depression so if you have problems the next day it will be mostly because of the wine.
