this morning while cutting my nails, i noticed that a small reddish brown dot appear under my toenail. i don't think it hurts, but when i think about the dot, i feel pain. it also seems like there is a little irregular line going from the dot to the border on my nail. i am scared that it is melanoma, although it is really rare and mostly found in black or dark skinned population, and i am white. it could be dried blood, from stubbing my toe or wearing tight shoes, but i am still very scared. has anyone had something similar before?
