Hello,

Really glad to have found this site - I wish I'd found it sooner.

Not sure if anybody can offer any advice, but gratefully received.

First received ESA in May 2014 - then waited nearly 3 years for a medical assessment.

Was assessed earlier this year and lost ESA in April 2017.

Was told to claim Universal Credit (which is now mandatory in my area).

Sent off mandatory appeal in plenty of time, they lost it (although they returned original documents), re-sent appeal and won my appeal.

Received letter telling me the original assessment decision was overturned and that I was to receive ESA - with work related activity compenent.

Problem is there is no ESA now in my area, just UC.

Contacted ESA regarding my status and the arrears that have accrued since 2014.

They told me that I needed to contact UC.

Rang UC.

They told me I now need to have a NEW work related medical assessment?!

Is that right?

Can I really go through all that again?

Also UC told me that ESA are responsible for any arrears before April 2017 (when I first received UC), but ESA say it is UC who are responsible.

Sorry, very long-winded.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.
