Does anyone here suffer from this highly debilitating disorder? I have had it for years and it has been a complete curse on my life.

Hi Braveheart I don't suffer from this, but there is a product you can cheaply buy and use and it's safe it's called Rescue Remedy it's completely natural and NO side effects
Studies have shown it can be used on our dogs too with great results. Worth looking in to if you haven't already. Cheers

I've never heard of this before.

The first time in my life I ever had a panic attack was when my OH went away for 10 days to visit family and I was left in the house alone. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but later I wondered if it was because it triggered childhood memories of being left alone a lot.

If that's how you feel all the time it must be torture for you, I'm sorry.

Isn't there any treatment available for this? EDIT: Sorry, I just read your other thread, you've had therapy already. Have you ever tried hypnotherapy? I found it very helpful for my Generalised Anxiety. I just downloaded mp3's and it's way cheaper than visiting a therapist. Worth a try?

Thanks so much to both of you. I shall try the Bach Remedy. I haven't tried it but I shall give it a go.

ASAD is reasonably new. I have found several major pieces of research going on at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Columbia in the US and at several universities in Australia but nothing in the UK.
