You won't go blind. Think of all the times we glance at the sun on a regular basis - maybe when driving or out for a walk.
The danger was that as the moon covered more of the sun, people might feel the need to stare bare-eyed for long stretches of time because it wouldn't be as instinctive to look away as the sun wouldn't appear "as bright". The prolonged staring would be damaging, and even then, it's unlikely they'd go blind but rather would have a spot in their vision.
A two second long glance will not hurt you. Promise.
On the road of experience, join in the living day. If there's an answer it's just that it's just that way.
When you're looking for space and to find out who you are...When you're looking to try and reach the stars.
It's a sweet, sweet, sweet dream; sometimes I'm almost there
Sometimes I fly like an eagle, sometimes I'm deep in despair.
HA! I knew there would be a post about this... but no.. two seconds with sun glasses? No worries. A bunch of folks here at work had the eclipse glasses so I got to see it quite well. About 80-85% coverage about an hour ago and it was actually getting dark! VERY COOL!
Positive thoughts
"Eat. Drink. Enjoy the work you do. Be thankful for the blessings God gives you in this life. Live, love and seek out the things that bring your heart joy. The rest is meaningless... Like chasing the wind." King Solomon

Trump did it. Twice
My son took a peek without glasses too under my husband's watch and I am so pissed!
