I have been suffering with IBS for a while now, and I know what foods to avoid etc. I have been managing without any medication for a while, and coping fine. However I am due to travel around in places without access to toilets and therefore I am seeking some advice on taking medication in order to reduce the amount of times I need to go the toilet.
At the moment I tend to go approx three times a day on a bad day, and would love to reduce this to one time a day whilst I am on holiday.

Is there any medication I can take for this to happen? I know there are medication like Immodium but is the side effects that bad that I am probably better not taking them?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Pete.
