Thread: Brain Electricity/Jitters?

  1. #1

    Thumbs down Brain Electricity/Jitters?

So it seems I get this more at night, it is hard to describe.

It feels as if my brain has been plugged into an outlet or shot up with caffeine. The rest of my body is normally fine, just my head feels super on edge and jittery.

    Anyone else get this?

    Re: Brain Electricity/Jitters?

Would you say it's like a brain zap? I get these if I miss a dose of med but it's also quite common in anxiety sufferers who aren't on any meds. It's harmless but can be disconcerting and unnerving.

Migraines can also cause strange sensations but tend to be unilateral (ie, on one side).

My bet is that this is due to anxiety and symptoms will fade over time with treatment.

It's less a zap and more an ongoing feeling of steady jitters.

You're probably right though, just takes time!
