    cartoon Behavioural Therapy :-)

For those that haven't checked out the FREE CBT programme CBT4panic

    http://cbt4panic.org

I just wanted to point out that it is very user friendly - it is not a lot of heavy psycho babble

I have illustrated every step with cartoons

It really won't take you long to read over everything and you will learn a lot about anxiety and how to deal with it.

    Here's an example :-)

Hi Robin I think this is excellent and a lot of members on here would get something positive out of it too, surprised no replies have come in yet though Cheers

    Hi
    Thanks

Don't worry - I know that people will need to take their time looking over the programme - and hopefully trying it out

My posts at the moment have been more to do with making people aware that the programme is available for free

I am trying to repost during the day for a while until lots of people have seen it

From the stats I can see that each time I put up a new post or bump a post there is an upsurge in visits

So far it has been very encouraging - with over 10,000 pages views on the site from around 600 people from NMP in just 12 days

So I hope people don't mind if I keep doing this for a while until most people know its there.

I'll try my best to make the posts as interesting as I can :-)

Thank you, Robin. Do you have any work books for OCD? I realise that this is a more complex condition and probably needs a more specialised approach though.

    Hi Pulisa
I will try to add more specific material for HA and OCD to the site soon

But I think anyone with OCD can benefit from reading through the main workbooks - they really dont take long to read because of the cartoons and you WILL learn many skills for dealing with anxiety

Of course the Obsessional Thoughts workbook and the Mindfulness book will be helpful also

and The Therapy Dialogue with Denise in particular will relate to many people

If you go through any of the books let me know if you feel they are relative beyond panic

    Re: cartoon Behavioural Therapy :-)

Distraction has never worked for me-in fact it increases my agitation. I'm a carer and very much relied on to "function" so this complicates things but I realise I'm not doing myself any favours. I put ridiculous pressure on myself and my rituals have got worse so I need to do something positive to reduce my anxiety over keeping everyone in my family ticking over. Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity.
