I don't think they gave me the right pills (xanax)

Hi, normally, I go to a different drug store, but when I got my Alprazolam, a generic for Xanax, the pills are not their usual half shape... they look more like the shape of non-generic Xanax, a rounded-off diamond shape, which say GG 256 on one side.

Can someone please tell me if I have the wrong thing?

Hi sometimes when I get my meds from a different chemist they look different,sometimes mine are oval sometimes round.I would just give them a ring to double check for peace of mind.I think it depends who makes them.

I agree, I think you really should phone the pharmacist just to make sure. I know my generic Chlordiazepoxide capsules have often been different colours. Sometimes they are black and yellow, other times they are green and yellow and I have to say I don't find it helps my anxiety at all when they look different.
