Scared to take a higher dose of Zoloft

I'm on 25 mg of zoloft and I've been on it for a year. I have really bad GAD and social anxiety and some mild depression and I'm scared to upper my dose on zoloft because I've heard it makes people's depression worse. But if it did cause my depression to be worse would it show on the 25 mg?

You might be ok if you have been on it for a year.
This time round I was started on 50mg, I felt awful! like I'd had speed! so I dropped myself down to 25mg for a few weeks then went up to 50 again and it was totally fine. I'm about 4 months in now and am feeling quite a lot better.
How did it affect you went you first started taking it?
