    Sorry to hear about all your symptoms. You’ve gotten so many tests done, if I were you I would run dancing in the fields, knowing that nothing is wrong! The female reproductive system is sensitive and the balance is a delicate one. Something like multiple eggs releasing at the same time can cause pain and tenderness or a cyst etc;

I am currently going through something similar but have actually found a lump in my pelvic area so I’m totally freaked out.

Sorry you're having problems too katniss. One thing I haven't found yet is an actual lump (that'll probably happen next now). Where abouts is your lump?

I've had some tests done, but nothing that could diagnose what's wrong with me. I had an ultrasound four months ago, which just showed a 3.5cm functional ovarian cyst which was going down. I've had pain from ovarian cysts before, but it's very distinctive and obviously located in the ovarian area.

I've also done the home HPV test, which was negative, but I don't know if that's reliable at all. So that's it! I really need something to look inside... like the hysteroscopy.

I've just seen your other post. That's nothing, just a lymph node. I've got dozens that I can feel in my groin.

It's normal to feel small, moveable nodes in the groin area. Particularly along the inguinal area.

Thank you for responding! Hopefully it’s benign! What does a cyst feel like if you don’t mind me asking? Mine feels like a period cramp but also hurts a lot in my right thigh and right ovary area

The pain from my ovarian cyst was very specific to my ovary to be honest. When I walked around I could sort of feel a stabbing pain in the afflicted ovary, and it was painful if I pressed the area.

For me, it didn't cause any other pains in the pelvic area. No cramping sensations. However, I've heard that ovarian cysts can cause those sensations in some people. Particularly since you do have some ovarian pain, it could be that.

The pain that I currently have, in my uterus, feels more like the crampy pain that you describe. But mainly my uterus is just tender to the touch. And unfortunately I don't know what it is :/

In your case, it could easily be your fibroid. When they grow OR when they degrade they can cause that sort of pain.

You've said that you want a hysteroscopy and then will push for a colposcopy...Any decent gynae would spot your HA and desire to chase a diagnosis and would refer you to mental health.
With your fear of general anaesthesia how would you tolerate a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy anyway?
Well, the hysteroscopy would be under local. I don't know how I'd react to being told I'd need a general again to be honest. Could be a problem.

I'm sure if they find something then, yes, everything will speed up and I won't be the one pushing for things any more. I would of course also need a GA in that case. I have to find a way to be ok with that, but... yeah.

Oh that sounds painful. I actually had the same thing just a week ago! Literally! Whenever I would press my uterus and the surrounding area it would hurt. It felt quite tender. The tenderness went away but I still have the pain. And your cyst pain seems very similar to that of others that I have been reading about. Unfortunately mine doesn’t feel like that. Maybe there are different kinds of cysts? Bah. Hate this

Right there with ya. It sucks, doesn't it. There are different kinds of ovarian cysts for sure and they can cause different symptoms depending on their size, position, and the individual.

Well, I'll find out sooner or later what's wrong with me and I hope you will too. And I hope that for both of us it's nothing bad.

For me, I don't tend to have pain per se when I'm just stationary. Well, sometimes I do, sometimes it aches. But normally it's just if I touch the area. Then my uterus is quite clearly sensitive. And I have rebound tenderness... it's more tender when I release the pressure than when I press in.

I can even feel sensitivity if I suck in my stomach too much.

And sometimes when I move around I get little shooting pains. They feel different, though. They could be more muscular / tendon / ligament related perhaps. Or even nerve. But who knows.

    Hi,

Hyper-vigilance can lead to feelings of hypersensitivity in any given area of the body. Muscle tension can cause all sorts of sensations.

Poking and prodding these hypersensitive area will also magnify sensations.

I guess there's nothing anyone can say that's going to help you rationlise your fears.
Hopefully having more tests will reassure you that nothing serious is wrong. I hope you tell the specialists your cancer fears so they can also reassure you. Take a list of questions to ask them.

Thank you. I don't think I'll ask the gynaecologist what she thinks it is, because it's just reassurance seeking. She'll say it's probably nothing serious (I assume) but that won't change the results of the tests.

I definitely am a bit hypersensitive, yes. I know that won't help. And I'm trying to just not touch the area at all. I flinch even if something lands in my lap. However, it's definitely not created by hypersensitivity. I was having these pains before I was even worried about them. At first I thought they were just a miscarriage thing and would go away. But they haven't!

Roll on Thursday, I guess. The one good thing about having tests is I can allow myself some diazepam a little treat.

If you have the hysterscopy you will think “yeah but I haven’t had the colposcopy or the laparoscopy maybe they would have found something”. Violet blue has made a good point about the time frame. When do you reach a point where you accept the results of the tests? I can answer that...never unless you start getting help with your mental health.

Your quality of life is pathetic. From where I sit this is a typical day for you:
Wake up - think about, talk about, research cervical etc cancer - go to sleep.

You’re are not living life, like my psych told me “you can stop worrying about dying because you’re already dead”.

You constantly skirt around the issue of seeing a therapist. You will never get well without one. I had HA for 3 years. When I look back on that period of my life I am ashamed of the person I was, ashamed that my whole family was affected by my HA, ashamed that I went from being someone fairly logical who people liked to be around to a quivering mess who people avoided like the plague. All I did was bore everyone with my health woes that weren’t even real. The only thing that stopped people giving up on me was that I was doing my best to get well by regularly seeing a psychiatrist.

Why do you come here? You never take any of the advice you are given. All you do is come up with excuses why you can’t do the things people suggest. So I’ll ask you again, why do you come here?
