    Stomach Cramps..

Hi Everyone... well I guess I'm new to the community that I didn't even realise existed. It is indeed very comforting to know that none of us all alone.
I would say that I am pretty calm at the moment, however due to changes of job and moving away from home, I guess that I am stressed a little. In the past I have never worried about things in life, but I started having my first panic attack about three weeks ago... and now I'm still having them... nothing very severe... I have controlled my breathing (from the advice on this website) and this has prevented the attack from taken hold of me.
However, I have a worried knot feeling in my stomach... I'm worrying about this, because I dont' know why I'm worrying... and if I am worrying it's about the next panic attack that i'll have...
Is there anything that I can do to relieve these Stomach cramp feelings....

Thanks in advance for any advice....

Yes, Big swigs of tonic water/ soda water will induce a big burp and it will relieve this somewhat.

    hello there,

Welcome to the forum!! It's normal to get stomach pains when suffering from panic attacks and anxiety. What I notice has helped me is eating more small portions rather than just a few big meals. Take care.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and support... Believe me I feel so much more relieved since I have found this great website and forums... I can only learn from others at this point, but as I gain further knowledge about PA's etc... I hope to help others in the future.
At the moment, I am concentrating on my breathing, which has helped to prevent a full scale Panic Attack... T
Today, I've quit smoking and caffeine and turned to drinking water. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I'm feeling much calmer tonight!
