Have you had problems with your jaw? Pain/grinding?

Im abit worried about starting Sertraline because I have very painful TMJ pain that has given me chronic headaches for years.

Was initially given amitriptyline but couldnt cope with the sedative effects especially as I have 2 young children.

I've read that teeth grinding and jaw pain is a side effect of Sertraline so its making me reluctant to start it as can't bare for my jaw pain and headaches to get any worse xx

    Hello Issy

I take Max dose Sertraline 200mg and I grind my teeth and at present my jaw is slightly locked i cant put three fingers in.

Mine started when i lost my mam in 2009 I still say it was Citalopram but not one hundred percent sure. now I have no idea how to sort this out as gp says its dentist and dentist says gp.

you might not have this issue Sertraline was ok for me but not sure at moment.
