Upping the dosage from 10mg to 20mg

Hello all

So after two weeks of taking 10mg of Citalopram daily and enduring some quite horrible side effects including 2 panic attacks and one night from hell, I took my first 20mg tablet today...

Just wanted to know peoples experiences upping the dosage? Am I basically back to square one as far as the side effects are concerned? I haven’t left the house in over a week due to worry about taking a panic attack in public. Should I wait it out or what? Going into the unknown here and would really appreciate some responses even if the truth hurts.

You may experience some of the side effects you encountered on 10mg along with new side effects. Unfortunately everyone is different so there is no way to know. You will probably fee a lot groggier/zombie like for about a week until your system gets use to the new dosage.

You can decrease the chance of side effects by moving up 5mg at a time and take that for at least a few weeks.
