Wellbutrin /bupropion

Hi all ,

Happy New Year’s Eve to you all.

Quick question - has anyone and does anyone use the above medication? I am trying to come off weight gaining and sedating meds but when I do I get bad anxiety and withdrawals so my psych has suggested doing a cross taper to Wellbutrin with the help of some diazepam/xanax to control the anxiety? That way I will loose some of this weight that I have put in from mirtazapine and quetiapine which is causing me to stress out!

Any views / suggestions or opinions are much appreciated

I had trouble with it and found it very stimulating, but that doesn’t mean you will. You’ll just have to try it and see.

Stimulating as in activating your anxiety or edginess? I think his idea is the sedating meds wile offset the activating side effect of Wellbutrin and put me on an even keel
