2 weeks in - blocked ears side effect?

Hello I posted previously and thank you for the responses they certainly helped reassure me.

I am feeling a lot better anxiety wise and currently on around day 10 of escitralopram.

My ears have started to feel blocked you know that feeling you get on a plane and I am wondering if this is a side effect of the medication. I don't have any cold symptoms etc and have read that some people can have hearing issues as a side effect of this medication.

Has anyone else experienced this and is it likely to subside or would it be better to switch to a different medication.

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi.

I am glad you are feeling better. It's known for antidepressants to give ear issues in the starting weeks. But you can have it checked just to be sure.

I didn't have this, but i did have ringing in my left ear for about 3 weeks. Then is started to fade out. I wouldn't worry to much.

    God bless!
