I seem to get worse social anxiety when I’m dealing with OCD. Like right now I’m obsessed with my glasses prescription being wrong, so I sometimes do vision checking compulsions. Some of those are in public and I feel like everyone can see the compulsions I’m doing. I just feel so stared at. I rationally know it’s because of my nervous body language, but I really feel like people are trying to find out what I’m thinking/doing. I also get the same problem when I have anxiety about my sexuality. I only really want to date girls, but I have anxiety about being bi or into guys. When I’m having a bad flare up I often feel very anxious around guys. I worry it’s a sign of attraction. It’s even worse when I think they’re flirting or checking me out. I worry I’m accidentally flirting back! Or I worry people mistake my anxiety for me being attracted to him.
