I started with a new anxiety therapist on Friday - she has given me a tip that i never thought would help but it does. Apparently it is used in the army, when soldiers are trained to undergo interrogation - when the anxiety starts to hit, you wiggle your toes. Hard as you can - the connection to the floor grounds you, and it forces blood to your feet, away from your core and the heart/lung/head area that is being pumped too much of it, therefore reducing the effect of the panic attack.

I'm not saying it makes it all go away in an instant of course, but it does help, like keeping a bit of your face above water while you wait for the wave to pass. Got to be worth a try!
