I heard somewhere that Yorkshire puddings and gravy are served first before your main roast dinner in Yorkshire.

Nah, we generally have them with our roasts like everyone else, or a big one filled with stew or sausage and gravy. Maybe elsewhere in the depths of Yorkshire people do though, there's some strange local customs! As I said to Terry though, I did have a Yorkie starter at my wedding and it was amazing.

What was your Yorkshire pudding starter? Like, little ones with gravy, or were they jazzed up a bit ? Yorkshires and gravy.....rightho thats tea sorted. What I like about them too, being the cook in a house with vegetarians and meat-eaters, is that I can simply slap veggie sausages or meat sausages with them as required by the eater.

Just small ones with gravy. The beauty was in the simplicity

    Re: Yorkshire puddings

Thank you all for the replies.. you have put my mind at ease and i will defiently try Yorkshire puddings as soon I get them.
I have a very limited diet of bread biscuit and potato due to my severe fear of being/feeling sick... here are some foods im wanting to try but scared they'll make me sick for you all to talk about

    Jacket potato with butter
    Heinz Baked beans
Soup - worried the onions or seasons in them will make me sick
    Toast
    Cheese - maybe dairylea?
Birds eye Chicken dippers or fish fingers - worried about the batter around them

    Have fun
