Could it be because you are actually starting to relax fishman? You know how anxiety is a bugger for making an appearance when you're taking it easy.
Remind yourself you're doing incredibly well.

Darksky, that damn humidity has just shot up again. I was tidying up the garden and my hair suddenly became six inches wider. Air conditioned shops sounds like the place right now.

I agree with Carnation, and being off of your regular routine can cause anxiety to increase as well. It sounds like you are doing well overall though, which is great.

Well what a weekend I've had.
First of all the heat!!! 30c by the sea seriously? I was wearing a jumper and jacket only a few days previous.
Secondly, I went out in it. This is something I would never have contemplated doing with anxiety. But I did it because we had plans and I thought, well it's hot, a good bit of sun, lol. I've never sweated so much, my hair was literally dripping. Strangely I wasn't anxious just bloody hot! Everyone else was hot with droplets of sweat forming on their faces so it wasn't just me so I didn't get anxious.
And... I used a public loo for the first time in years.
Next day shorts and paper thin top was on and out again (planned day). Still boiling but was getting used to it by now. Sunday.... Lol, felt chilly again, temperature dropped by 10c. What weird weather.
Anyway, I had a very challenging weekend, I did it and if I
say so myself I did good.
One tip.... If you are having an ice-cream in 30c, take plenty of tissues.
Well done Carnation. Not only for travelling out of your comfort zone but also for using a public toilet for the first time in ages.
Surely next time will be even easier.

I think Fishman has picked a good week. Pretty much dry, no burning sun. Ideal for sightseeing and walking. My eldest is off to Italy in August. I’m already nagging him about the potential heat. What’s the betting I download the local weather just so I can fret for a week.
Funny you should say that Darksky. I've felt really down in the dumps over the seemingly endless dire summer weather this year but at the same time have struggled to cope with the heatwaves over the past few days. Whatever the weather, it seems we're almost never satisfied.

This might just be a “me” thing, but I hate that icky feeling if I send an email and then look back at it and wonder if it comes across as rude. Being rude isn’t the intention but I feel like if it’s too direct or something it comes off that way and then I 1) feel bad and 2) wonder if now the other person will think poorly of me or complain about me. I know I’m likely overthinking this.

Hope the AC in the shops was helpful, Carnation! It’s amazing how much humidity can affect how hot it feels and sometimes that’s all there is for it.

Overthinking Poppy for sure. We constantly question ourselves, whereas others don’t give the things we think and worry about a second thought. It’s all in our heads, our own thought processes which we have trained to undermine our sensible thinking. I’m sure whatever you’ve sent is fine and the recipient will treat it as such.

i dont know about anyone else’s shops but the best air con by far is in the co op. It’s a shame I can’t spend more time in there.

Poppy I totally get that feeling. I don't like to upset anyone but sometimes things need to be said or you have to put your foot down. I hope for a world where that is never needed, but....... life isn't like that.
At the same time I've spent many years tiptoeing around people and situations as not to offend and that's not good either, worse!
What I have found though is mostly it's just overthinking the worst and 9 times out of 10 you are more respected for saying how you feel. The people who take offence over unnecessary situations have the problem, not you.

Thanks Carnation and Darksky. You're both right - I'm overthinking. I just am usually a lot more "sunshiney" in emails so it felt a bit curt to me. But I will need to message the individual again today so I'll be friendly in that one and call it good.

Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.

Another aura eye thing today and this time I was out and driving. Trying to stay calm is very difficult and I did my best not to panic but obviously wanted to get home. By the time I reached home it was in full swing. No colourful kaleidoscope this time but more of a zig zag line.
It was so bright today and I'm sure that's the trigger for me. I went and googled again! As if the info was going to change from the last time I looked. But dehydration jumped out at me so to be sure I downed an excessive amount of water, then raided the biscuit tin incase I was lacking in salt or sugar. I can't help it, they scare me.
