Thank you Carnation, you're very kind Probably March I'd say with the grass cutting. Though it depends what temperatures we have between now and then.

Oh yes I meant to answer your amphibian question. When I dug our pond out circa 2014, we had a frog in it the very next day after filling with water. So it was very likely in the garden already. It's a common assumption that amphibians need water constantly. But the fact is they only 'need' it in order to reproduce. Throughout winter they'll be hibernating under things like logs, rocks, holes in the ground etc. Then in spring they'll look for water, frantic spawning will then take place. It's not unusual to have dozens of frogs spawning in our pond. Then they disperse leaving masses of spawn.

You may have some frogs, toads or indeed newts in your garden as we speak Carnation. And all three love eating slugs. A small pond would give them the breeding facilities. So for the amphibians and the gardener, it's a win win. Not such good news for molluscs.

My parents have a small pond, and always at least one frog in the warmer months. We don’t have many slugs anyway but I love to watch the frogs. Chisum likes to chase the ones up by the big ponds - he runs along the shore and they give a little shout and jump into the water

Ive been waging war against the honeysuckle in my yard. We cut it down to put up the fence and I think we need to grind the stumps to truly make it go away. It’s very prolific. Last year I tossed out some black eyed Susan seeds and had a nice patch of that, hopefully it comes back. I’d like to redo my front garden with native plants, but we will see if I can this year. Also am hoping to have a raised bed built with some veggies.

I am a bit sad, I had a pathos plant for years inside that slowly started to go downhill. I had a couple of propagations from it that were doing well and only one has made it so far. I’m hoping it can continue. I saved part of the original plant in water in hopes it can make a comeback but I’m not sure.

Sparkle, the game night sounds fun and it also sounds like your sister is a pretty good support.

Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.

Having some ups and downs today - got a message through social media this morning from someone who messages me weird stuff occasionally (he asked me out last year, out of the blue, and today told me he misses me). I went to school with him, but I wasn't ever friends with him (he was kind of friends with my brother) and haven't seen him in person in years and even then only briefly. It just made me feel sketched out. I texted one of my friends to see if she still is in touch with him and knows what his problem is, but still.

On the other hand, we had a snowfall and it's lovely. Chisum was antsy so we went out for a walk - we couldn't drive so had to walk through the neighborhood. I am really proud of how well he did. He doesn't like strangers at all and we saw several even through the cold, but when he got a little agitated he didn't totally lose it and was able to redirect and move on. Now, thankfully, he is sleeping.

Working on getting some housework done and giving myself permission to be a bit lazy as well.
